Chesham Ladies are advancing in the Top Club competition.
Having won their first round match against Marlow, the next round was a tight affair against Princes Risborough. Chesham won the Triples and the Pairs, and lost the Singles and Fours, but the high scoring pair of Terri Keen and Lin Wright - 31-14, saw Chesham home by 74 shots to 63.
This week at home to Wexham was also very tight. Charlene Turpie lost the singles 20-21 on the very last wood. However, although the remaining matches were very close throughout, Chesham won all three. Pairs Terri Keen and Lin Wright won 19 -17, Triples Pat Rodgers, Sue Faulks and Sue Springell won 14 -11, and Fours Jackie Bateman, Jean McNab, Shirley Gardiner and June Holland won 16 - 14. Chesham are now in the Buckinghamshire Final and play away to either Waddesdon or Bletchley Town.
Chesham men eased into the quarter finals of the Bucks Cup, winning all four matches home and away against Marlow. Keith Patrick won 21 - 11, Ray Keen 24 - 15, Mick Skerry 26 - 8, and Chris Harvey 24 - 18. Chesham have won their division and so will have home advantage when they play Iver Heath in the Quarter Final.
